It has come to my attention that a few people are wondering about my recently being named America's
Usually I just ignore such talk. Haters are gonna hate, as the popular Meme tells us. But this time I want to address the matter, because in my travels around the country in search of the great rock and roll acts of America, something has become alarmingly clear, America is in danger of losing it's rarest species, the Rock and Roll Hipster Doofus. There are fewer and fewer of us every year, and without someone pointing the way we might just end up with no more rock. And I couldn't live with myself if that happened.
Plus, it's true, I did move to Nashville! After living nearly all my life in great Rock and Roll cities: Detroit, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, I end up in Nashville! How could that be? HOW, Y'ALL?
It turns out Bob Dylan was right. Times they ARE a changin. And number one with a bullet is Nashville. For quite a while now it has been the MUSIC Capitol of the world, period. Country, Rock, Alternative, Indy Rock, Bluegrass, Americana, Folk, Roots, Gospel and Religious music. More bands live here than anywhere else. I saw Jack White at the post office next to the Goodwill. It's raining Rock Stars here. You can literally go out any night of the week to any number of different places where you will find artists and songwriters of ASTONISHING talent.
Alright so Nashville Rocks. So what? What makes me such an expert about Rock and Roll? Well imagine a life where the flavors of a misspent youth and the funky freshness of the Motor City blend together with the years of hard living and wild partying to brew up a blend called ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC EXPERT, bitch! Let's see how this is so......

Rock And Roll Music Expert. Specifically I heard that one person apparently practically hollered, "Why that guy?! What makes him such an expert on Rock and Roll? Plus, didn't he move to Nashville, the country music haven?" Usually I just ignore such talk. Haters are gonna hate, as the popular Meme tells us.
